MrScraper

Privacy Policy

ScrapeGPT Inc operates MrScraper. This policy describes how we process personal information through the MrScraper website, account dashboard, APIs, and integrations with third-party applications and AI assistants, including connections using the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

It covers information you provide, information processed when you request web-data operations, and information generated when you use the service. Our Terms of Use, Cookie Policy, and Data Protection Policy provide additional information about those services.

Information we process

Account and connection information

We process account information such as your name, email address, verification status, subscription information, and token usage. When you request account information through a connected application, its response can include account identity and usage information.

Connected applications may authenticate through OAuth, with access determined by the permissions you approve. API clients and self-hosted integrations may use an API key through their credential configuration. Use the relevant sign-in flow or credential settings rather than pasting passwords, authorization codes, access tokens, or API keys into conversations or extraction instructions.

Request inputs and web content

Depending on the operation, inputs can include:

  • Target URLs, search queries, extraction instructions, and requested output fields or schemas.
  • Rendering, location-routing, pagination, and crawl-limit settings.
  • Saved scraper and result identifiers, result filters, and account-usage or domain-analytics filters.

To carry out a request, MrScraper processes page responses, search results, extracted records, saved scraper configurations, and run results. These can include personal information present in the source material. Stored results can include page HTML as well as extracted data.

Our MCP interfaces do not request your full conversation history. If a connected application includes conversation text in an extraction prompt or another request input, that text is part of the information MrScraper processes.

Do not include passwords, API keys, authentication codes, payment-card details, government identification numbers, or protected health information in extraction inputs or request their extraction. A source being publicly accessible does not, by itself, establish permission to collect or use its content. You are responsible for choosing sources and data you are authorized to process.

Operational and support information

We process usage and request-outcome information, including the account, requested domain, operation, time, and success or failure of requests, to operate the service and report account usage. Website log data can include IP addresses, browser information, visited pages, and visit times. Information sent when you contact support is used to handle that conversation.

How we use information

We use the information associated with an operation to:

  • Authenticate the connection and apply the account's permissions and entitlements.
  • Fetch requested pages, perform searches, and extract the requested fields or records.
  • Save scraper configurations and results, rerun saved scrapers, and retrieve stored work.
  • Calculate usage, report request outcomes, troubleshoot errors, and provide support.
  • Operate and improve the website and service, subject to the cookie choices described below and our applicable agreements.

AI-assisted processing

Managed AI extraction sends page content and your extraction instructions to a backend language-model service to produce structured output. A successful managed extraction saves a reusable scraper configuration. Rerunning a saved scraper creates another run and stored result.

Page-retrieval operations can instead return content directly to the requesting application without that managed extraction step. The application may then process the response using its own AI services. Those services have their own privacy terms and settings.

Who receives information

The recipients depend on the feature you use:

  • Hosting and storage providers: infrastructure used to operate MrScraper and store account information, saved configurations, and results.
  • Web retrieval providers and destination sites: proxy, rendering, and retrieval services process the request needed to reach a target. The destination website can receive request information. Search operations send the query and applicable search settings through the search workflow.
  • AI processing providers: backend language-model services process page content and extraction instructions for managed AI extraction.
  • Connected applications and their providers: results are returned to the application that requested them, which may be an AI assistant, development tool, or other service you choose to connect. Its processing is governed by its own terms and privacy settings, separate from this policy.
  • Payment and support providers: providers involved in account billing or support process the information needed for those activities.
  • Optional website service providers: support, analytics, and marketing technologies described in the Cookie Policy are controlled by the website's consent choices.

Our service providers process information for the services they provide to us. Where MrScraper processes personal data on a customer's instructions under the Data Protection Policy, that agreement describes our obligations and the customer's responsibilities. Customers can request the applicable sub-processor list in writing by contacting support@mrscraper.com.

Storage, retention, and deletion

MrScraper stores saved scraper configurations and results so you can retrieve and reuse them. Disconnecting a third-party application does not delete information previously stored in your MrScraper account or copies already returned to that application. Cancelling a subscription is also separate from deleting an account.

You can manage saved scrapers and results through your account dashboard. Removing an item from the dashboard does not necessarily mean that all underlying copies and backups are immediately erased.

For requests concerning access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, contact support@mrscraper.com.

Our existing Terms of Use allow account deletion and state that inactive free accounts may be deleted after at least six months of inactivity. This is discretionary, not a guaranteed expiry period for an account or its contents.

Where our Data Protection Policy applies, it describes processing for the duration of the customer's use of the covered services, return or deletion of personal data on expiry of that agreement, and deletion when data is no longer needed for its processing purpose. Please contact support@mrscraper.com about a deletion request or the handling of particular stored information under your agreement.

The website's cookie-consent preference is retained for up to 180 days, as described in the Cookie Policy. That period applies to the consent preference, not to scraped content, account records, or operational logs.

Your choices and requests

  • Control the task: choose the URLs, queries, extraction fields, and limits you send. Review application permissions and avoid including unnecessary personal information in prompts.
  • Disconnect an application: for OAuth connections, use Connected applications in your MrScraper account to revoke the connection. Revocation prevents further refresh-token use; an access token already issued can remain valid until it expires. Disconnecting does not delete results already stored in MrScraper or copies already returned to an application.
  • Manage stored work: use the account dashboard to manage saved scrapers and results. See Storage, retention, and deletion for the distinction between removing a dashboard item and erasing underlying copies.
  • Account and privacy requests: contact support@mrscraper.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or assistance deleting your account. We may need to verify that a request relates to your account. Do not send passwords, API keys, or authentication codes with the request.
  • Copies held by other services: use the connected application's own controls for information already returned to it. Deleting information in MrScraper does not itself delete a conversation or other copy held by a separate service.

Where we process personal information on a customer's instructions, the Data Protection Policy also describes cooperation with the customer in handling data-subject requests.

Website cookies and optional technologies

The website loads non-essential technologies only after you make an active choice in the cookie banner; continuing to browse is not consent. You can change or withdraw your choices through Cookie settings in the footer and remove existing cookies through your browser settings.

The Cookie Policy describes the necessary consent cookie and optional support, analytics, and marketing technologies. Cookie preferences control those website technologies; they do not disconnect an integration or delete stored scrape results.

Security

We use commercially acceptable measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep access credentials in your application's credential storage and use the account's connection controls when access is no longer needed.

Other websites and services

MrScraper can retrieve information from third-party websites at your request and return it to another service you choose to connect. Those websites and applications are operated by other organizations. Review their terms and privacy policies; this policy does not govern their independent processing.

Children's privacy

Our services do not target children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact support@mrscraper.com so we can take the necessary deletion steps. The Terms of Use describe the service's age requirements.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or our practices change. We will post the updated policy on this page and update its date. Changes take effect when posted unless the updated policy states otherwise.
